Simulation and modelling of harbour, maritime, logistics, and transport processes

The expert group "Simulation and Modelling of harbour, maritime, logistics, and transport processes" deals with applications of simulation and modelling methods and tools in maritime, harbour, logistics and transport areas. In particular, this involves (but is not limited to) exploring of the following approaches and techniques:

1. Object-oriented modelling
2. Visualization and animation
3. Virtual reality
4. Web-based simulation
5. Distributed interactive simulation
6. Simulation-based optimization
7. Simulation-based decision making
8. Incorporation of simulation and modelling modules into overall managerial information systems

Both researchers and practitioners are welcome to share their experiences in using simulation and modelling for solving managerial problems in the above specified areas.
